Fashion Designing
Fashion design is the applied art dedicated to the design of clothing and lifestyle, accessories that generally mirror the cultural and social influences of that time. This includes all designs worn to create a statement about the individual or group of individuals. Hence, fashion technology is an interesting career option that the youth can opt for.

Syllabus for Certificate Course in Fashion Designing
Theory :
Unit -1
Elements of Design, Principles of Design, Components of Fashion, Silbouette, Detsils, colour, Fabric, texture Sesstnn and trims.
Unit -2
Fashion terminology, Factors affecting fashion, History of Fashion.
Unit -3
Fashion Illsstration Bacsic figare drawing for women and children.
Unit -4
Fabrics and their selection Basic socuring techniques Marking tracing Layouts, cutting secrring and finishing.
Unit -5
Clothing coustraction Drfing and adaptation of Basic blook Basic block Bodice, skrit and sleeve.
Practical
  1. Development of bodioe, sleeve and skirt block.
  2. Basic figare drawing for women and children
  3. Stiching seams, pockets,  collses, necklines, sleves, tucks plats gathers jokes.
Sessional
  1. Making an album of various fabrics, prints and texture giving their details.
 
Syllabus for Diploma Course in Fashion Designing
Theory :
Unit -1
Traditional Textile of India Historical textiles of special significance carpets, Tapahries, Breades laces, Shavels Resist dyed and printed Febrics
Unit -2
What is good fit, factores affecting good fit, common problems encountered and remedies for fitting defects.
Unit -3
Garment Evalustion: Fibre content, shoping devices, Underiying fabrics, pockets, necklines, hns tretment, Decorntive details and aiteration potential.
Unit -4
Pattern making Draping Introduction to draping, Draping of bodice sleeve and skirt block.
Unit -5
Fashion Illustration: Sketching of different action carpui (based on the basic figures learnt earlier)
Practical
  1. Draping of badice and its variation (princess seam, dart manipulation, yokes etc.)
  2. Securing of any two design using princess seam and yokes.
  3. Stitching-Seams, pockets, plackets, Tucks, Plets collars.
Seasonal
  1. Making an album of regional embroidery stitches.
  2. Collection of literature on traditional textiles of India along with samples.

Theory :

Enterprenoship defiaition, characteristics employment promotion effects to reduce, Govt. policy towards promotion of enterpreaship reservation & sanctions for small scale sector agencies for promotion of entrepreneurship
